Registration
You may have recently received a postcard in the mail that brought you to this website.
Please note that the date on the postcard concerning when to mail your registration by should read "...& mail back to the address on this card by June 18, 2009" (Not June 15, 2009 as printed).
Registration must be Post Marked by June 18th to be included on a list that has to be turned into Carolina Skies several weeks in advance of the event.(We just received an extension on the deadline to turn in the list to Carolina Skies, and are passing on this extension to the class. We hope this allows those who couldn't firm up their plans before now to do so. Please, send your registrations as soon as possible because they MUST BE RECEIVED BY July 8th. Any received after this date will kindly be returned to you, because they will not be on the list to Shaw to enter for the event.) So, we are not allowed to have registration at the door. If your name isn't on the list to get into the base, and you can show ID that you are that person, you will not be allowed into the event.
Early Registration was April 30th, but we are extending the deadline to May 9th, to give those who may have hesitated to register due to the requirements by Shaw AFB. The Wing Commander recently changed that policy and I was told by the NEW Manager of Carolina Skies Club the morning of April 9th.
If you did not receive a postcard, this is more than likely because we do not have a valid address for you in our database and need you to contact us using the information on the Contact Us page please.
However you found our class website, we are glad you did and you are ready to register to attend our 25th Plus Reunion, which wouldn't be the same without each of you.
To Register:
The registration page has all the information and forms located here to register to attend the events planned for our reunion. Please go to the bright aqua blue links provided below on this page to find the "Registration Packet" of information to print out your forms to mail in, and instructions on where to send your registration forms at the bottom of this page.
The Registration Packet includes:
- Registration Form (Form Required to register: You must fill out the Registration Form completely with Full Name & other information requested. (There is Great News! We ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED BY SHAW to request DL & SS#s (per phone call from the NEW Club Manager at 7:22am on April 30th who said the Wing Commander recently changed the policy). The Registration Form has been updated and some additions made. The FULL NAME is still Required by Shaw to have on the list for each Attendee & show Valid Driver's License or Picture ID at the gate to enter.)
- Memory Book Directory Questionnaire, Contact Info Request, & Order Form (Form Required to register; this tells us what you want listed in the Memory Book Directory for all to see, whether you purchase one or not.)
- Sponsorship Application (Optional)
The first two forms are required to be mailed back to register. The third form is optional. Please note that all information is held in the highest confidence and will not be used for any other purpose than it was submitted. Note: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR FULL NAME.
Now that the safety issue is no longer an issue per Shaw's Policy change, and PayPal has come out with a new program (See the Prices & Order Info page for details and link to it) for FREE with the conditions described on the Prices & Order Info page under Payments. So, NOW you can either fill out the Registrations Forms, scan them, and E-MAIL them to SumterHigh_Class1983@yahoo.com, or Fax them to 609-620-1818 (Please call first - this is a phone/fax number so we need to know ahead of time not to answer so the Fax can pick up the call. Please don't be concerned when you hear the answering machine, once the Fax sound starts the Fax machine will pull it from the answering machine.). Or, you can still MAIL your Registration Forms with your payments in the mail by TO BE RECEIVED BY July 18th, 2009 DEADLINE. Thank you!
Note: We previously were required to request sensative information, but, as of April 30th, 2009 at 7:22 am, we are no longer required by Shaw AFB to do this. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
We hope those of you who this policy may have scared away from registering will now feel free to do so without hesitation. If you would like to verify with Carolina Skies was asking for this information but now is NO LONGER being requested for all who attend this event at Carolina Skies Club, you may call Carolina Skies Club at (803) 666-3651. There will be no REFUNDS this year after the Late Registration original deadline of June 18th, 2009, if your plans change. We have to set this deadline to be able to meet our expenses for the planned events. |
